Before Christmas, Ed and I took the kids to a Vintage Railroad in a nearby city. Each Christmas season, they set up a "Polar Express" experience. All the kids come in their jammies, there is a little show to start with and then you board the train. As you walk out to the train, you walk a path between tall trees with "snow" falling and music playing. We went in the evening and the whole thing felt very magical! Once on the train, the conductor comes through and punches your ticket. The train ride is about 30 minutes and it worked out perfectly because as Eddie was staring out the window he saw lights flying across the sky (a few yellow and one red light, which Eddie said was Rudolph's nose). I gasped and said, maybe Santa would land on our train and say "hi" to us! And no less than 5 minutes later, Santa walked into our train car and went down the aisle meeting all the kids. Eddie and Sophia LOVED the whole thing!
waiting for the show to start
passing the time by being silly
they called the kids on stage to sing "Jingle Bells" (at the top of their lungs) E and S are in the middle!
this was funny because it was pretty dark on the train and they were not ready for my picture
tickets, please!
In awe
